The three-register model
Hazards, risks and controls — and what each register answers.
LMLevi Mieliv1.1
Hazards are what you find; risks are what you assess; controls are what you do about them. Each register links to the others, and assessments carry inherent and residual scoring so treatment progress is visible rather than asserted.
What each register answers
| Register | Answers | Links to |
|---|---|---|
| Hazards | What did we find, and where? | The site and the person who raised it |
| Risks | How bad is it before and after treatment? | The hazards behind it |
| Controls | What are we doing, and did we do it? | The risks they treat |
