Safe work procedures

Publish SWPs against tasks and plant; workers acknowledge them from the field, and acknowledgements feed the evidence trail. Because procedures are controlled documents, a revised SWP re-prompts the people it applies to instead of quietly replacing the one they read.

Acknowledgements are evidence

A worker acknowledging an SWP on their phone writes a timestamped record against them, the procedure's version and the site — the same trail an auditor follows for a policy or a SWMS.

Revising a procedure

Publishing a new revision re-prompts the people the procedure applies to. The old version is retained with its acknowledgements intact, so a record from March still says which text was signed in March.
